Finding Your 4 Leaf Clover in Link Building

As many of you know, next week is the big day where Leprechauns celebrate all day long, St. Patrick’s day.  This is the day where we all have to wear green and pretend like we love the people we work with enough to pinch them.  Though the color green has nothing to do with this post, green is the color of money.  Money is what we’re all going for.  We are all looking for that 4-leaf clover that will make us the money.

How do we find the 4 leaf clover in link building?

Much like a 4 leaf clover, you have have to look for hours to find it.  It’s the same with link building, it’s not just going to come out of the ground and show itself to us.  We have to work for it and always be looking for it.  Link building takes time, much like searching for a 4 leaf clover.

If you aren’t putting in the time daily for your clients in order to find this special little link, you’re not going to get it.  If you need ways to find it, keep reading!

Where do we find the 4 leaf clover in link building?

Look everywhere, email everyone you know.  I have something that I always say “If something doesn’t have to work, it rarely does” I find it the same in the link building world.  If you don’t NEED to find a like, you’re not going too.  Link builders who are hungry find some of the best links out there.

Much like finding a 4 leaf clover, you have to be willing to put in the time and know where to look.  If you’re looking in all the same places where everyone else has walked all over you’ll never find it.  In link building, the links that are in the hardest places are typically your best links out there.  You should be traveling the pass less traveled in the link building world.  If you aren’t, most likely someone else already got there link there.

Now, you can use a trick to find a link building 4 leaf clover that many other people use.  Find out where other crafty people got their links and go to where they found them.  Birds of a feather, flock together.  Find secret locations where other people have found links and get your links in there as well.
